Mandava Suites, for luxurious comfort, Hyderabad, India
What you see – Mandava Suites is a unique apartment hotel opened in May 2008 in Madhapur, Hitec City. Liveried staff welcomes you courteously as you enter the lobby. This area carries a comfortable feel of space. A lift makes movement across the five stories easy. The restaurant’s a terrace one.
What you get - Mandava in Hyderabad has 20 spacious suites of about 500 square feet each. It caters to corporate clients and walk-in guests. All the suites are centrally air-conditioned and are well stocked with everything needed for a long stay.
The double suite has two rooms, a living/dining/kitchenette/study room and a bedroom with an attached toilet. The first room has a study table and chair apart from a seating area with two comfortable chairs and a center table. To meet your dining needs there is a dining table, a fridge in one corner and kitchenette with a microwave oven, crockery, cutlery, electric kettle and basic food necessities like coffee powder, sugar etc in another. The room packs in a lot without giving a sense of clutter.
The bedroom has a queen-sized bed with comfortable King Koil mattresses and LCD screens with DTH service. There is also a balcony but with restricted access for safety reasons. The attached bath and toilet has a shower cubicle with geyser facility.
The single suite offers the same facilities as a double suite and can also accommodate two people albeit in single beds. They allow 24-hour check-in and check-out time is 12 PM.
The tariff for a single suite per day is Rs. 3,500 and for double it is Rs. 4,000. It includes complimentary breakfast, newspaper, tea and coffee, bottled water and Wi-fi facility. The lunch and dinner buffets are at Rs. 160 per person. Pick up and drop facilities are charged extra. They also offer discounts to corporates.
Some of the other services Mandava provides are laundry by Pearl Wash with the normal 24-hour cycle or the express 12-hour service, an air-conditioned gym for in-house guests, a small business center with printer, fax and free Wi-fi, round-the-clock security with CCTV cameras in all common areas and a 24-hour travel desk. Parking space is ample around the area.
The rooftop restaurant, Café Mandava has an open area and a closed air-conditioned area. A fifteen-course vegetarian and non-vegetarian buffet is spread out for lunch and dinner. Those who prefer a la carte can choose from a cuisine of North Indian, South Indian and, on request, Continental. Behind the scenes is a consultant head-chef, who guides the residential chefs in their culinary duties.
Our verdict - For corporates looking for accommodation close to Hitec City, Mandava is a good choice as it has modern facilities and a blend of professional and homely atmosphere. As an apartment hotel this is a good choice for a travelling businessperson, especially considering its Wi-fi connectivity and proximity to Hitec City. Recommended for long stays.
